Controls

Invivoscribe offers an extensive range of General Purpose Reagents (GPRs) and Research Use Only (RUO) controls.

Controls are available in several different formats: plasmid DNA, DNA extracted from tissue or cell lines, or RNA extracted from cell lines. These controls can be purchased in various dilutions or as complete dilution sets and panels for several purposes, such as in the development of laboratory-developed tests (LDTs), assay validation, sensitivity or proficiency testing, and troubleshooting.

PATIENT INFORMATION*

Why it Matters

Controls provide confidence in results.

Controls play a critical role in every laboratory; from assay validation to proficiency testing. Patient samples cannot serve as reliable controls, unless they are immortalized and thoroughly characterized. Invivoscribe offers a multitude of high quality, reliable DNA and RNA controls manufactured under cGMP conditions to provide certainty in each result.

*GPR only

Tissue DNA controls are extracted from normal, disease-free tissue and are tested extensively to ensure quality and reproducibility of your test results.
Cell Line DNA and RNA controls are extracted from established cell lines grown under cell culture conditions recommended by the supplier.
Plasmid DNA controls are engineered to test positive for a specific chromosome translocation or mutation using our assay master mixes.

Master Mix Controls

These General Purpose Reagents (GPRs) master mixes serve as a control for many of our DNA assays to ensure that sample DNA is of sufficient quality and integrity to generate a valid result. These controls are available as unlabeled for gel detection and fluorescently labeled for ABI detection.

DNA Controls

These controls can be used for assays targeting FLT3 ITD, FLT3 TKD, B- and T-cell antigen receptor loci, as well as IGH-BCL2, BCR-ABL1, and PML-RARα chromosome translocations. FLT3 ITD and FLT3 TKD are offered only as 100% DNA controls (GPRs). In general, our 100% DNA controls are offered as General Purpose Reagents (GPRs), while all others are research use only (RUO).

RNA Controls

Our RNA controls are extracted from well characterized cell lines grown under standard and carefully controlled culture conditions. Since this RNA is extracted from cell lines, these controls can be used with any of the standard housekeeping genes. Our 100% RNA controls are offered as General Purpose Reagents (GPRs) while all others are research use only (RUO).

MRD Controls

Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) is increasingly recognized as a biomarker, and potential future surrogate endpoint for a number of hematologic malignancies. Innovative Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Assays, DNA controls and software are necessary to enable longitudinal MRD tracking.
Invivoscribe offers two types of RUO DNA controls for laboratories to test MRD samples with low target molecules using LymphoTrack® Assays. LymphoTrack® Low Positive Controls are used as an external quality control for each run, while LymphoQuant® Internal Controls are used as an internal control to be spiked into each sample. These RUO DNA controls are developed for use with LymphoTrack® Assays and LymphoTrack® MRD software to track clonal sequences on MiSeq®, Ion S5 and Ion PGM platforms with unprecedented sensitivity and specificity.
